Ugandan Global Project a Success!

Our Ugandan Global Project has come to an end.

It has been a terrific success!

We worked together and raised more money for our new Ugandan friends than we could have ever hoped!

Mrs. Yollis' class collected $1142 Mrs. Ranney's class collected $800 Mr. Salsich class collected $970 2KM and 2KJ collected $1680 Team Toa's School collected $15,000

TOTAL

We have been able to purchase the land for the ABC Divine Foundation Primary School, ensuring they now have somewhere to play. We have also provided enough money for the school to start building a sheltered kitchen and dining hall.

Dear Ms.Kathleen,
My name is Carly. I am from Mrs.Ranney's class in California. I think that the slide show you made was awesome! I think that all of the Ugandan students looked very happy. I am so happy that the Ugandan Global Project is a success! I think that it is really awesome that kids from all over the world are coming together to make a difference for some other kids. I am so truly happy that we got enough money!

Do you think that we did the best job we could have done?

Yours Truly,

Carly (Mrs.Ranney's student)

Dear Carly,

My name is Skye and I am next door to Miss McGeady's room. I think that Miss McGeady did a good job doing the video too.

@ Miss Mcgeady,

Thanks for the response. I think the UGP was a big success, and big fun because we all got to see what the school is like in the Day in the life of a Australian, Connecticut, Shanghai, Uganda, and California student.

As well as seeing all the Australian, Connecticut, Shanghai, and California walks for Uganda. I also think the global presentation was very inspiring.

Sincerely,
Im★n

Hi Miss McGeady

Thanks for the great post. It was especially wonderful to see Renee talk. I liked the phrase a Mexican Wave of Action Across the Globe!

We still can't quite believe how much money was raised and how there continues to be a change, as the idea snowballs. Thank you SO much for organising the Uganda Global Project.

One of our school goals is to be Globally Minded and you sure are!

Warm Regards
Mrs Toa

Dear Mrs. McGeady,

Thanks for making this post!!

I learned about a country that I did not know about before. I learned where Uganda is located and the capital, which is Kampala.

My thinking has changed because I have become more aware of children less fortunate.

I feel great that we were able to help the children.

All the best,
Aidan

Dear Ms. Kathleen,

Hi! I am Leah from Mrs.Ranney's class in California. I can't believe we made enough money to buy the equipment and we can also pay to redo the cafeteria!!!! I love how we worked together to do such a nice thing for the Ugandan kids even though we are all so far away. It really was a success!

How did all the teachers find out about this project? Just wondering.

Sincerely,
Leah [Mrs. Ranney's student]

Leah, we just came up with the project! I hope more teachers come up with projects like the UGP.

Your pal,
